Strike A Pose.

Completed in 1928, and still home to the Italian Olympic committee today, Stadio dei Marmi in Rome looks like it's got to be worth a visit if you're in town. Fifty nine of these near-naked male athlete statues watch over the open air arena - giants amongst men. Also worth putting on your tourist trail is the swimming pool, which sports equally interesting mosaics.  While these boys were commissioned during the Mussolini era, and might have more than a few nods towards the fascist ideal - here in the 21st century there's something a little bit camp about the whole thing - it's like a (more impressive) stroll through the mighty halls of Abercrombie and Fitch.
