Homoerotic - Lifetime Achievement Award. Theodore Gericault (1791-1824)

These male nude studies by Theodore Gericault are just the tip of the iceberg in a portfolio of romanticist paintings that celebrate the muscular struggle of man against the elements. There's nothing written that suggests Theodore was gay himself, but he certainly had an eye for his subject. However there's no doubt that this work has stirred the loins of us man loving deviants for a couple of centuries now. So here's a note of thanks from us all, in the form of The Bullring Homoerotic Lifetime Achievement Award to Jean Louis Theodore Gericault (1791-1824). Below are a few examples of his epic paintings - the homoerotic blockbusters of their age. Vive la similarite!
